How I made Lace Rose Using 1 Inch Satin Ribbon

Hello Omoge, fine fine lady. Hope you had a wonderful night's rest. It's a brand new day to get out there and do some poses, take selfies, and inspire others.

Today, I want to share with you how I made lace rose using 1-inch satin ribbon. There are lots of things you can do with a satin ribbon rose. This includes the decoration of event halls and the making of colorful hairbands. You can also use it for pinups for guys and ladies.

There are different patterns and designs of roses, used for different purposes. We use some for artwork, while others for cloth adornment. 

Here are the materials needed;

1. Tape rule for measurement; Measurement tape comes in different sizes, and colors. It's best you use the one that works best for you. For me, I like the one of 1-inch width and about 60-inch length. My favorite colors are blue, yellow, and pink.

2. High-quality satin ribbon; It's best you use high-quality satin ribbon. This will make your designs look beautiful and attractive. The products I use best are mH and Yisun.

3. Scissors; There are different sizes of scissors in the market. I like to use small scissors with a plastic handle that are easy to handle, and sharp. There are countless products out there, Bec scissors is one of my favorite.

4. Thread and hand Needle; Ensure to use thread that is strong for durable stitches. The needle should have a sharp edge to be able to glide through ribbon when making stitches. The needle size of No.1 is OK.

5. Candle gum; Be sure to use original candle gum, as there are fake ones in the market. To differentiate fake from original, try bending the stick into two. If it bends without stress, it's the original. Candle gum is better because it holds fabrics well and strong compared to other gums.

6. Glue gun; used to apply candle gum on fabrics. Its shaped like a gun. The candle gum passes through an opening towards the metallic pointed edge of the gun. The gun makes use of electricity for heating and applying candle gum on fabrics.

7. Lighter; This serves as a heat source. There are different products and sizes. The one I like to use is 'Ada' lighters.

8. Working desk; Your working desk should be neat always, and the things you need well placed on it. A neat environment results in neat jobs. Ensure to keep your working desk neat and well organized always.

Steps;

1. Measure out one yard (36 inches) of satin ribbon.

2. Burn both edges with the flame from the lighter to avoid having rough edges.

3. Measure out 13 inches of satin ribbon into twelve places. Burn both edges of each.

4. Fold their edges twice and make a gather using thread and needle to form 'gather rose'.

5. Place each gather rose about two inches apart on the measured 36 inches of satin ribbon with the candle gum.
