How to make blossom rose flower design with 1 inch satin ribbon

Hello Omoge fine lady, how are you today? Hope your weekend was great with lots of fun? Welcome to a new week of better things to come. Today I want to share with you how to make blossom rose flower design using a 1-inch satin ribbon.

There are lots of fantastic designs you can make using a 1-inch satin ribbon. Some of these designs are complex and can take a lot of time to complete while others are easy to do in less than 5 minutes. 

Dedication is the keyword in learning how to do anything. If you want to be good at making blossom rose design, you should dedicate time to practicing it.

Here are some of the materials you need;

1. High-quality 1-inch satin ribbon. I always make use of a high-quality satin ribbon. This is because I want my product and designs to look attractive, durable, and strong. There are lots of brands out there to choose from but my favorites are 'Two Rose, Two Birds, and mH'.

2. Thread. These come in different colors and thicknesses. I prefer using threads that are strong for durable stitches. Once again, there are lots of brands out there but my favorite is 'Crown, Belfil, and Yisun'. Always make sure that the color of the thread that you are using matches with the color of the satin ribbon. This will make your work look neat and authentic.

3. Hand Needle. I like using a sharp-pointed hand needle because it is easier to pass and glide through fabrics. You can use any size of hand needle, but I like using a small tiny needle of about 1.5 inches long.

4. Scissors. This comes in different sizes, shapes, and designs. I like to use small scissors with a rubber handle. This makes it easy to handle and use. The brand I like best is 'Yisun' or 'mH'.

5. Glue. There are different types of glue in the market. Using a glue that has strong adhesive qualities is the best. I like to use glue sticks or 'candle gum', and uhu gum because they are long-lasting and can hold fabric well.

6. Measurement Tape. These are of different sizes and lengths and thicknesses. Measurement tapes are easy to use than tape rule.

7. White Pad. For covering stitches at the back of the rose flower designs. You can also attach pins to it.

   

These are the steps;

1. Measure 30-inches of satin ribbon with tape and scissors.

2. Double thread the needle for strong and durable stitches.

3. Place the threaded needle at the bottom of the satin ribbon and make a trapezium shape stitch.

4. Continue making the trapezium shape stitch till it reaches the end of the ribbon.

5. Drag the thread and needle to form folds of ribbon.

6. Arrange and hold the base of rose together using glue. Cut the remaining thread and needle.

7. Cut out the white pad and attach a pin to it.

8. Attach a white pad and pin at the base of the rose flower with the glue.

9. Place in packaging cellophane for marketing or future use.
