How to make star rose flower with ribbon

Hello my Omoge! fine and beautiful lady. How are you doing? Its been a while now since we talked. A lot of wonderful things happened last week which I will share with you later. Today, I want to show you how to make a star rose flower with a 1inch satin ribbon.

There are lots of beautiful designs of rose flowers and crafts you can make using satin ribbon. Some of which I have shared in previous posts. The star rose flower design that I am sharing with you today is very attractive. 

There are lots of things you can do with it such as; to design women's blouse and gowns. You can also use it to design men's wears such as; suit lapels and tops.

There are different approaches to making this type of rose flower. The one I am sharing with you today is the easiest to do.

First, these are the materials needed;

1. 1inch satin ribbon of any color of choice. For high quality rose, its best to use high-quality satin ribbon like mH or two rose.

2. Scissors. It's best to use sharp scissors with comfortable handles for easy cuts.

3. Office pins. Make sure the tip of the pins are very sharp and can glide through fabric with ease

4. White pad. They come in different sizes and thicknesses. I like to use a moderate type. 

5. Thread. Use threads that are durable. My favorite to use is Yisun or Befil. Crown thread is still a very good thread to use.

6. Needle. This comes in different sizes and thicknesses. It is best to use a sharp-pointed needle for easier gliding through the fabric or ribbon.

7. Glue. There are different types of glue out there. Most times I make use of glue sticks, because of its strong adhesive qualities. You may also use Uhu gum or any gum of your choice provided it has strong adhesive qualities.

8. Measurement tape. There are different types and sizes. I like using 1inch wide measurement tapes because it easier for me to handle.  

9. Clear working space. You need a clear and clean working space to enable you to do a clean job and be more creative with what you do.

Steps:

1. Cut out 10 inches of satin ribbon and divide it into 5 pieces of 2 inches each.

2. Fold each of the pieces in a triangular shape.

3. Fold again into two at the center of the triangle, forming a right angle triangle.

4. Hold the slant edge of the right-angle triangle of each of the 5 petals together with the office pins.

5. Sew the base of each of the 5 petals and join them together using thread and needle.

6. Tie together and arrange petals to form a star rose flower.

7. Cut out the white pad in a circle. Ensure that the circle is big enough to cover stitches at the back of the rose flower.

8. Apply glue to the white pad and stick it at the back of the rose flower to cover the stitches made.

9. Package it in a cellophane bag in case you want to sell it or use it later.
